I must admit, I'm experiencing some degree of culture shock in easing myself back into otherkin/therianthropy "community" spaces. The landscape has changed, and I am unsure if it's changed for the better, to be honest. In addition, in (re)joining certain social media groups and having to explain and justify my claims to people who were in kindergarten back when I was first deep in research and self discovery is...something, that's for sure.

It has been quite a long while since I last participated in anything even remotely relating to the otherkin community. I had started, more or less, in 2005. After quite a few many years, I opted out for a time.

I'm not sure I ever even formally introduced myself here yet. That might change. I'm still working on some posts and articles. I write quite a bit, mostly on my tablet. I then transplant posts here. It helps to preserve more of my writings.

Beastie you can call me. I've been searching for a nice quiet place to discuss with other alter/nonhuman beings and I just happened to stumble here via Gillman's personal site. Tumblr wasnt doing it for me at all, and I preferred not interacting via my already established account out of "privacy", and I happen to find the community there to not be my thing anyway (too many kids for me too :x). I've always been fond of forums even though they aren't quite of my time lol, and this seems close enough to the atmosphere I've been searching for. I hope I'll find my place here.

Hello! My name is Xeep or Lucian, I am bodily 17. My pronouns are xe/they > he [I am a xenic individual]. I am an alien in every way, labels that describe my expreinces well are otherkin, holothere and transspecies. I have known about my identity since early childhood but discovered the alterhuman community about 4 or 5 years ago. I have a typing quirk where I replace 's' with 'z', but that occurs during intense shifts. I never do that as a joke. I'll  provide translations to anyone who needs them, or just some time later. I also have other alterhuman identities. More: I like art and poetry, hate social norms, love and feel connected to nature, and daydream about fictional characters. I'm plural and my "alien-ness" affects many of our alters, as it's the most important identity.

im new to serious kinning, but not the idea of it. most of my kintypes are centered on past lives. or current lives. unsure. i am also a zombie in this life. i am not alive. i don't believe i am? anyway.

i consider all the undead my bretheren. 

i am experiencing a heavy dose of shame, but after years of researching the community and grappling with my own feelings, ive decided to indulge.

Hello everyone! My name is Dreki, and I'm a 26 winters old dragon currently residing in Germany.
I've been part of the otherkin community for several years now and identify specifically as a wind dragon. My draconity is a big part of who I am, although I'll save the story of how I came to understand and identify as a dragon for a separate post.

Outside of my otherkin identity, I'm a nurse. Caring for others is something that's always been very important to me. I'm generally a rather quiet and shy dragon at first, but I love getting to know others once I get comfortable with them.

Over the past few years, I've become involved in building communities for alterhumans. I'm one of the beings behind Eurokin, a European alterhuman community I created some time ago, and I've helped create and manage several other online spaces where alterhumans can share and talk about their experiences. I've also had the opportunity to meet fellow dragons in person dragon through Gathers hosted by Dragonkin.EU, which has been one of the most rewarding parts of being involved in the community. 

If you would like to find me elsewhere, I'm mostly active on Discord on the servers mentioned above. I also have a personal website and a blog on Tumblr.

I'm looking forward to reading all the writings posted here and seeing what this little community is like, as I've never been active on a forum before ^^'

Hello! I'm Hazel, 24 (he/they). For awhile I identified with xenomorphs / aliens, but lately it's evolved into a much more complicated identity that I'd like to explore further. I'm autistic and struggle with a lot of self shaming, which I'm hoping that connecting with this side of myself will help boost my own self confidence. I'm still getting used to talking (typing) about my identity, but it's a mixture of psychological and physical (?), and was most likely brought on by my autism + physical ailments that left me feeling disconnected from humans. 

I don't know how this works. I'm trying to connect with people like me and make friends. If y'all got any ideas for me to find my people, I'd like to hear them.
