For me, most of the fictionkin lives that I remember I would not describe myself as a "fan" of the surrounding media. Largely the opposite, especially involving the specific individuals I have memory of being. I think there's actually only one media that I have a fictionkin connection with where I would call myself a fan of the media: The Dark Crystal (and Age of Resistance).
Same here, I actually recently downloaded new personal wiki software (SilverBullet) to help me compile older records of memories spread across emails, IRC and Discord logs, older instant messaging logs, livejournal and dreamwidth entries, wordpress articles, wordpress drafts, offline journals etc.
Been sitting with this for a bit, still not entirely sure how to respond. I do want to thank you for sharing something so highly personal.
This is the first time I've really run into the archetrope concept, much less seen a specific example laid out in depth.
It does make me wonder what common ground might be found between this and someone who identifies as a minotaur in a more traditional otherkin sense. For example, someone who believes they have memories of having lived as a minotaur. Perhaps it would depend, in part, on whether they felt a connection to being a minotaur, or to the Minotaur—Asterion himself?
I'm curious how you see the relationship between archetrope identity and other forms of nonhuman identification.
