I\'m not sure it was ever \"active\" in a sense of these kind of journal-site or Facebook-like status-updatey things. That\'s a feature that came with this Wordpress backend (vs. Malcolm\'s old homegrown setup) that I personally find slightly strange. 15 years ago the directory used to be a great help for webweaving, but other than that I thought of OKN as a resource site with the personal communication taking place mostly elsewhere -- although that other half of the equation is pretty much a void now that there are no active lists and few or no active boards (other than a couple predominantly for therians, which while I understand some kinds of otherkin may find that fine, seems not really suited for folk in the elven-faery area, or angels, nature spirits, all that kind of stuff). But as far as posting articles, which is where OKN used to be fairly active, it just seems none of us oldtimers have anything new to say anymore (some of us are not even alive anymore to say it), and the newer crops don\'t seem to engage with this whole phenomenon in the same way. Sooo. yeah.

Fictionkin aren't even mentioned there, so I'm not sure what you're saying.

Are you referring to the answer given under "What about humans?" where Miaren says basically that while such attitudes exist, she thinks they are silly?

Wow, there's a pastenblasten. Last I saw from him was posts to LiveJournal in 2012. (At least, if you're referring to the same person I'm thinking of; used to live in Washington state?) No idea where he might be now or how to get in touch with him.

I am not sure if your name is ringing a bell or if I just think it is because you named someone I knew. If so you might have been aware of me as Eshari?

Mmm, okay, fair enough. Personally I don't often get it much in the sense of "okay, I will do this normal thing ... ohhh yeah no wait I can't" but I guess by now I'm pretty used to what "normal things" I can't actually do, so I rarely "try" in the first place.

I don't know if this is something that needs "help" unless it is distressing you or interfering with your life in a negative way. The phantom sensation of wings is pretty common with otherkin - fae, angels, dragons, etc.

This article was something moved over from the old Otherkin.net. The internal link ("How to be a hip mystic") goes to an archive.org page with a datestamp in 2005. I'm not sure whether Syleniel even has an account here these days. She does sometimes come into the Otherkin.net Discord chat, tho.

Well, it depends somewhat on whether people subscribe to the activity feeds the site puts out, which clearly at least a couple of us do (although I suppose Jarin as the site admin possibly Sees All, Knows All ;) ). What sort of advice are you seeking?

(Caveat taking any advice from me: I may be an old fruit, but I may not be wise. Go not to the elves for counsel for they shall say both yes and no and be prone to silliness, blah blah blah...)

D\'oh. I was just looking for that feature yesterday (https://www.otherkin.net/2017/12/sdgdgsdgddgsdgssdgsdg/ looked to me like junk, although I suppose it\'s possible it was that person testing how to do something). I was really confused when I couldn\'t find where to click to report.
