[2] Is there a connection between your gender identity and kintype?
Does your kintype have an influence on your gender identity? Maybe you disconnect your gender from your kitnype's gender? Or your gender identity changes during shifts? If you feel like you have an answer to any of these questions, feel free to share your thoughts. Like in my previous post, I'll also write about my experience:
In my case, my alien identity has an impact on my life as a whole, including my gender identity. Most 'human stuff' doesn't feel right or apply to me, it's the same with gender. The human gender labels, like male, female, and even nobinary are not for me. I know that I technically "am" nonbinary, by looking at the definition, however that still doesn't feel like me. When someone asked me about my gender, I'd answer "My gender comes from space - literally." In Polish it sounds way better. So, my gender is beyond the human understanding of it. I am sure that my species breeding ways are different than human, I unfortunately do not know how exactly. The best label I could find that describes me is 'xenognder', 'xenic'. One of the definitions I found says "a gender that cannot be contained by human understandings of gender; more concerned with crafting other methods of gender categorization and hierarchy such as those relating to animals, plants, or other creatures/things". The first part fits. For now, I don't identify with a specific xenogender [like catgender, ect.], as it's tied to my species' unknown biolgy. Am I transgender? I would say yes, since this body wasn't, in fact, born the "correct" way. I am transspecies and transgender, these two labels - in my case - overlap eachother. And even though my knowledge about my species' physical traits is not very wide, I'll just do and try to change things that will make me a bit more happy.

I would say my gender still impacts my identity, even though I'm afab and still female, as my dragon self is also a female. The way gender is perceived by my kind is the exact same as for humans, so I never questioned it.
I liked to read for explanation as to why you identify the way you do!
I'm the most comfortable calling myself agender, I shouldn't even have a corporeal body that biological sex or gender could apply to. Genderfluid is fine too, since whichever gender divided subgroup of humans I feel more connected to differs day to day.
It makes sense you'd be xenogender since your species doesn't even come from this planet, so why would it be chained to earthly conventions!
i actually have a sort of disconnect. at least, with how i was portrayed (both male), being born in a female human body, and not identifying as either male nor female right now. i suppose i am also considered nonbinary, but i usually say genderqueer because i dont like the 3rd gender label nonbinary gets
cybertronians as i remember us were technically monogender. it wasn't really a thing until we engaged with humans and they decided some of us were male and some of us were female. certain bots embraced it. most didn't really care. alt mode was significantly more important to identity, and i suppose reformats are the closest to transgender people we had. i was male in the sense that male is considered the default, but i never interacted with humans so as a mech it never effected me. i was me and i was referred to as all jets were. i just wish i remembered what that was.
I feel the two are intertwined. my gender is my kintype and my kintype is my gender. im just beast. im not supposed to have reproductive organs either ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. i dont tend to label my gender identity due to this, but if i do have to for the sake of humanity's incessant urge to put things into boxes, i just say genderqueer. it's not accurate, but it is close enough.
