Hi, as you can see, I'm very new to this forum and the otherkin/alterhuman community. I mostly came here due to the need to figure out what exactly is up with me internally. I'm hoping to be met with an open mind, knowing I didn't come here in bad faith. So, here's some info about me.

Does anyone remember "grilling"? It seemed to be popular in my Amino days back in 2019, but I haven't found any resources as of recently to use to grill myself with new 'types I am questioning... If anyone is familiar with the concept, could you leave some of those questions for me to read over and think about?
If it is called something different now (or even previously), could you let me know what as well? So I can dig up more questions to sit on..

Hello! My name is Stuart, or Blue, whichever is easier. I am a fallen angel and also 2D from Gorillaz. I also happen to be a system. I discovered my otherkinity (is that a word) back in 2018 during a meditation session. I saw an image of an eye opening and then a bunch of 2D memories. How did you find out about it? I'd love to hear. Also, any other angels here?
We all strive to be open-minded about one another's beliefs and experiences. This is essential to our community, because we have had to keep an open mind about our own beliefs and experiences in order to accept them as valid and real. Much of what we believe and what forms the foundation of our community's identity are claims of supernatural or psychic experiences that mainstream culture would simply debunk. Our materialist, scientific society has no room for a sixth sense, let alone a seventh or an eighth, and the empirical rule of science leads most materialists to assert that if you can't touch it, it isn't there. So many of the perceptions and sensations that form a vital part of our experiences are subtle and numinous in nature. They cannot be proven in a laboratory. Often, it is hard for us to "prove" them even to ourselves. We simply have to accept that we are not crazy, that these impressions are valid, and that the materialist approach to reality somehow fails to account for a large portion of human experience. Yet this creates a certain amount of credulousness within the community. Since we each have had experiences that the rest of the world would reject as lies or delusion, we are much more likely to listen with a sympathetic ear to someone else's experiences, no matter how strange they may sound. We are painfully aware of how hard to believe many of our own experiences and beliefs are, especially because we have had to struggle to believe them in the face of a culture that tells us these beliefs *must* be the product of a crazed mind. Obviously, we don't want to disbelieve another's claims especially because we want to be believed ourselves. But this can lead us into a dangerous habit of accepting everything that is told to us by others without question, and the sad fact of reality is not everyone who makes an extraordinary claim is telling you the truth. There are quite a number of people who lie and make up tales about their beliefs and experiences. They do this as an attention-getting measure, to make themselves feel powerful and important, or to get you to follow them and accept further stories and orders without question. These are the poseurs and cult-daddies of the scene, and they hurt our community not only by preying upon the innocent and vulnerable, but also by giving the outside world a very negative impression of us.
I am 100 percent new to even the idea of this. Someone mentioned to me to check out this community because I've always felt out of sync with people. Also and this may sound really bad but don't take it that way I've always said in my head exactly like this that I feel "above" Humans like that and never really though of the ramifications of that ,as if saying I'm not Human again don't take it wrong. Anyway just exploring possibilities and im ridiculously open minded so hello and I hope to meet some of you at some point !
i had never heard the term otherkin until today. i honestly always assumed i was alone thinking i wasnt bog standard human. i do not like the icon next to my name, no offense to those what made it.
Some of this is from the Torah, some from rabbinical commentary, some from oral tradition, and probably a number of inaccuracies caused by my fuzzy memory on the subject (PLEASE feel free to set me straight if you know this better than me). We just switched over to PHP7 and MariaDB. I think folks will notice the site is loading in about half the time (on average) so that\'s a good thing. We did have to sacrifice one plugin - the one that let folks report users/content for moderation. It was completely breaking the site. I might be able to fix it with some time (as I already fixed our links plugin) but for right now if you need to report someone/something please send me a private message.
This is something I originally wrote for my personal website. Since it covers an important part of my journey in the community, I wanted to have it here as well.
Soooo ladies and gentle beings of all shapes and sizes it has come to my attention that as well as being a pedantic prick I've also got more entities inside me than i know what to do with. Finally back in a more nature-y area, and I feel so much better. I think being disconnected from any forest areas really makes me prone to lower moods.
