That is entirely understandable. The revised site is new and still growing, but hopefully you will find what you are seeking here. Although I am not one myself, there are other insects and hive-entities here, iirc.
That is very intersting. I'd be interested in reading more on your perspectives.I hope you enjoy the site. If you have any questions feel free to reach out/tag me.
Feel free to keep in touch. You can DM me on Discord at @queersatzcaterach (my system-mate came up with that name, it is a shared account), alternately if you go to "The Outer Reach" I have a beacon there with my contact info.
You may perhaps find this group helpful: More Human Than Human
It's a group I setup for other robots, cyborgs and replicants. I'm unable to tag it here but if you put the group name in the search bar it should come up. I can also try tagging you from the group itself.
EDIT: Cancel that, you are already in the group. Welcome. Feel free to post and let me know if you need any help.
Another sidenote is that I don't picture myself as an animated character. I never have. I also don't see myself as in any way resembling the actor that played the live-action version of my character. There are many other avenues of connecting, however. I will say that some versions of my character look "closer" to how I see myself internally. It helps having a brain that is wired very visually; we have a strong "inner eye" and can see things, either internally or astrally, with a very strong hyperreal quality. I understand that not everyone has this ability, but I cannot see myself as literally being an anime character, for example.
I've found it to be a handy service not only for archiving my own research material, but also finding other book recommendations. You can also connect with other users on the site, including other therian and otherkin users. Although my account is rather new, I used to have an older account that has long since been abandoned, so I'm starting over again there.
Indeed, I found I could never relate to those who saw their "source" material as absolutely literal. For me, I've always seen it as a sort of funhouse mirror reflection. Then there are connections and intersections within fictional media itself. For example, my "source" fiction inspired a videogame character, which I hold enough strong associations with that I could technically claim fictionkin associations with that character itself. In fact, one of my system members had remembered being depicted in that source as the best friend of that character quite a long time ago. We both remembered these things independently of each other, and if we were to put our thoughts and memories together and wrote a sci-fi book about it, there would still be enough differences for it to stand as its own thing.
I'm not sure if what I wrote made sense, but I guess what I'm trying to say is, we never see these fictions as absolutely literal, but there are still enough attributes to see the resemblance, however warped it may be.
Thank you for your kind feedback. And I completely understand where you are coming from here; I often have the habit of semantic nitpicking, something I am trying to be more aware of. Looking forward to your future posts.
I am also what one would call "robotkin", and as I'm typing this I'm in the middle of a marathon of "Blade Runner," which was based off of the PKD book. I do struggle with body dysphoria and body dysmorphia for the same or similar reasons, however my body was designed to be as "human-looking" as possible. I had soft skin, could experience pain and could bleed. My problem with this is that because my body was much stronger than a human (for example, I could suffer what would be a lethal fall for a human and walk away from it), I was capable of suffering for a much longer time than a human would. Human death became a luxury in that regard. Anyway, my feelings on this are both complex and complicated. I often try to sort them out through writing. You're welcome to add me and talk, if you like.
This is something I can relate to. For me, the "source" is the life lived, and what is termed the source would be the franchise, more to the point. For me, each iteration of the franchise (which isn't that many, you could count it on one hand) presents a new piece to the puzzle, to varying degrees. Some more than others. However, there will be a new one coming...this week, actually. And another one in 2027 or 2028. Whatever happens, happens. What I find intriguing is mapping these parallels and synchronicities which have been occuring from before I even encountered said media. When I did, it was a very dissociating experience, like watching your nightmares become a cartoon you can watch on tv.
Welcome. Have you considered LibraryThing? I've found it to be a useful tool for archiving books I've found helpful in my otherkin/therian research over the years.
Thank you, I got it as part of a crafting batch awhile back. I'll be posting the finished piece soon.
Precisely, and that is more or less the crux of what I was reaching for in my post. Welcome and I look forward to reading more from you.
Greetings and welcome. Look forward to reading more from you.
Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed it, and I look forward to reading your future writings as well.

Greetings and welcome. Intrigued with your insect identity and look forward to reading more from you. Are you in the Hymenopterae (bee, wasp, etc)?

I'd say it would count, yes. Welcome. Please let us know if you have any questions.
