Guys I lost the drawing from my pfp and I want to remake it but I can't draw to save my life. I traced N's body and added random components for the og to make my oc. Got any tips that might help me?
Universe
Posts from across the community. New members are part of the Universe too — the dust and gas of the Nebula simply obscure them from view until they reach a certain luminosity. When they graduate, everything they have written shines through here.
Before I get to the prompt, I want to let you know that I can't be here every day. I will be here for 7 days every other week. Anyways, today's prompt is:
I've been thinking if I should write something about why I'm specifically a wind dragon, and not some other kind of dragon. Usually, dragons are portrayed as huge, fire-breathing beasts, and I never really saw myself like this (← Considering that, I could also write a post about why I don't identify with most dragons, but that's for another time). I could have also had any other, different element, but I know why my aligned is the wind and air.
Howdy! I am curious how everyone in this community came to the conclusion of what species, being or thing they are / identify as, the process of conforming certain parts of your identity. Your "awakening", if you will.
Rarely do I identify with anything mammalian. Usually it is (closer to) avian, or reptilian, if it is something that is "alive" and not android or replicant. But, when I do, it is the bear in particular. A common pattern that has stayed with me, to varying degrees, across multiple lifetimes.
Planning a Xenomorph Care Guide
I saw a few posts online depicting detailed care guides for their species / theriotypes, and it inspired me to start planning my own! I wanted this care guide to be about my Xenomorph fictype (?) since my canine theriotype has been quite dormant for the summer. This will grow into either a couple of slides on Instagram, or just a proper blog post.
Loved this!
My beginnings in the otherkin community
A thing that brings me a lot of joy in my life and really makes me appreciate my nonhuman identity is when I suddenly get a massive influx of feelings towards one specific past life because of a positive trigger.
This is something I originally wrote for my personal website. Since it covers an important part of my journey in the community, I wanted to have it here as well.
Hello again!!
Hello everyone! My name is Dreki, and I'm a 26 winters old dragon currently residing in Germany.
I've been part of the otherkin community for several years now and identify specifically as a wind dragon. My draconity is a big part of who I am, although I'll save the story of how I came to understand and identify as a dragon for a separate post.
Outside of my otherkin identity, I'm a nurse. Caring for others is something that's always been very important to me. I'm generally a rather quiet and shy dragon at first, but I love getting to know others once I get comfortable with them.
Over the past few years, I've become involved in building communities for alterhumans. I'm one of the beings behind Eurokin, a European alterhuman community I created some time ago, and I've helped create and manage several other online spaces where alterhumans can share and talk about their experiences. I've also had the opportunity to meet fellow dragons in person dragon through Gathers hosted by Dragonkin.EU, which has been one of the most rewarding parts of being involved in the community.
If you would like to find me elsewhere, I'm mostly active on Discord on the servers mentioned above. I also have a personal website and a blog on Tumblr.
I'm looking forward to reading all the writings posted here and seeing what this little community is like, as I've never been active on a forum before ^^'
See you around! Aru!
I got diagnosed around 14, and while it my scoliosis is not debilitating, the locker rooms in school reminded me that my skeletal structure was vastly different from the average human. This caused a great rift of dissociation between my mind and body, as if an impossibly thick cloud of fog formed between them.
I'm not sure why I have chosen to do this, but, despite having some second thoughts about the privacy aspect of this, something tells me it's important to do so.
Big fan of this post! Also just excited to try out this feature.
Regulation Through Nonhumanity
Little side thing away from questioning for something more formally written--
Finally back in a more nature-y area, and I feel so much better. I think being disconnected from any forest areas really makes me prone to lower moods.
If your source material continued, changed significantly, or was rebooted — has that happened? And if so, what did it mean for your identity?
Just a simple discussion question—what experiences/instincts/feelings made you discover that you're alterhuman? That you're your species in particular?
howdy! I go by a few names, mainly Ricky but also Alucard or Boothill. My current body is 25, female (although this means little to me) and I’m taken by my soulmate with whom I’ve lived all my past lives with. My soul is deeply intertwined with hers.
Xeno Posting! Yay!
