.The FactThrope Times : Its me, Factkin.

Hi, im Hojita. Since my time in 2023, i started my alterhuman journey. with this, in this year (2026) i did discover my factkin identity. here, i will tell you somethings that you need to know about factkins.

                                   .Why they are valid?.

First this... i can understand, that these users can seem unvalid, because, many alterhuman experiences are non-human, and a big amount of sources and alterhumans think that. rather, they are not. as big, big examples of humans in alterhumanity are :

  • Fictionkins/Folks (ex: a Nam-Gyu fictionkin, just like me.)

  • Concepts involucring humanity (ex: Anthropology)

  • Art with humans (ex: the mona-lisa)

So, with that, many pepole in the alterhuman comunity do accept fictional humans, but when it comes to real humans... huh? WE ARE NOT VALID? alright, sorry for calling whoever is reading this an hypocrite, but if you accept fictional/object alterhumans, why not the real ones?

But, a more simple explanation is :

You can kin anything in our comprenhension including HUMANS, due that we can understand them.

                                 .Are they impersonators?.

It seems, for the alterhumans that yes, but no. we are not. yes, we partialy/fully identify as real pepole. rather, we will never replace them, either alive or dead.

We dont do it for money, and will never be. an impersonator does not explicitly say : im a impersonator! it does make think the victim that he is that person. we are awake that we arent this celebrity. if we fully identfy, we. are still awake about that fact. ever and forever.

My final kick, Vozhina wishes you the best.

I think where a lot of confusion from both sides (those who do not support/believe factkin and those who do) is that the definition of 'kin varies. It does not have a strict guideline of what falls inside or outside the term. It causes a lot of discourse and misunderstanding. To be otherkin originally meant for people who felt that their human body did not reflect what they felt on the inside. They felt that they should've been an elf or a werewolf, for example. They didn't identify as specific individuals from a book or movie; just themselves but as an elf. Therians mostly felt the same though a big bulk of them also believed that they had a past life as the animal that was their kintype and that is why they still feel like they are that species now. These were mostly the big blocks of the community; to have been born as the wrong species and long to be what you feel inside, or remnants of a life already lived (these both didn't have to be solely spiritual but usually was).
Through those lenses, having lived a human past life on this earth/realm is something that doesn't necessarily fit into being otherkin/therian but still the same concet as having lived an animal past life.

Believing and supporting "factkin" really comes down to your personal view on being otherkin/nonhuman/alterhuman. If you believe that you fully are your kintype, because of any reason, spiritually or psychologically; had a past life (this includes human past lives, fictional or other, but very explicitly people who are no longer alive); experience that you were born in the wrong body or because of ancestral/cultural reasons then it is probably against your own experiences and views on nonhuman identity to support someone who says they "kin [name of person who is still alive and usually in the public eye]. Because then you basically say that no person is their own person, and everyone is everyone. Most people don't agree with that. If I could use my own example; if I met someone who said they "factkinned" me and claimed that they are me: I would not believe them and I would need evidence that they, in whatever way, are me. I fully stand behind the fact that my nonhuman identity is me. It isn't something I relate to, my past lives are mine and me.

If you believe that being 'kin, be that otherkin, fictionkin, therian, factkin, etc. is relating to your kintype in whatever way; either you had a very personal and life changing experience because of your kintype that shaped your worldview; you saw your kintype and felt like "I relate to this so much, I cant leave it out of my identity" or because you are trying to make sense of yourself and the world by lending the likeness and meaning of something/someone; etc, then you would have less of a reason to question or reject the concept of factkin. Then in your own way you could say that "I kin [name of person who is still alive and usually in the public eye] because I relate to them and I understand them".

Neither of these is necessarily wrong, it is all about your personal experiences and growth. No one has to accept you for you to be true to yourself. However I am very against trying to pressure anyone to support or believe something they don't stand behind. Everyone's individual experience is way too valuable to try and warp into one streamlined direction. Also, it is good to realize that no one inherently has to accept or believe you. Everyone is entitled to not believe you when you say anything. Trust has to be earned, and anyone could be lying, especially strangers online.

I was debating leaving my own opinion out of this but I will add something anyway. This is all from my own view on being otherkin, altherhuman or just nonhuman.

if you accept fictional/object alterhumans, why not the real ones?

First off I disagree with the usage of "real" here. Fictional humans are real, they just have their lives reenacted by actors, drawn by animators or written by writers. This doesn't make someone less real. In this same way I support and accept people who have past lives as humans from this earth we are on right now. I see no difference between someone who has a past life as a "character in movie" than someone who has a past life as someone who no one remembers.

But, a more simple explanation is :

You can kin anything in our comprenhension including HUMANS, due that we can understand them.

This is a not an explanation but your opinion. I don't think that understanding something or someone qualifies for being... "kinned". "We" is also a brought term I can't really place well. I think a lot of nonhumans have experiences of not understanding humans in the same way humans can't fully understand animals. You will never fully understand that which you are not yourself and even fully understanding oneself is near-impossible.

Thank you for writing all of that.

I find the notion of "everyone is everyone" from Weir's The Egg to be just a valid belief as any other, though not one I personally ascribe to.  If one is able to recall past lives, than one could reasonably recall concurrent lives - if everyone is everyone.

Is the ability to recall past (or concurrent) human lives on this earth solely sufficient to label oneself under the alterhuman umbrella? maybe. Under the otherkin umbrella?  maybe not.  But it is not for to tell anyone who they are or what labels to use.

I am just trying to learn.  Being challenged on my beliefs are part of that.  My hope is others are trying to learn too.

Yes I agree! I think that everyone should follow their heart and their experiences and respect others, whether that means changing your own view to fit someone else's or to walk away, live and let live.

People can choose their own labels and see what fits, it is not up to someone to dictate that when it comes to undefined labels like altherhuman or otherkin. To avoid misunderstanding it might help to state what ones beliefs to be part of that label and what makes them fit into it, so others can understand what one is trying to convey.

I too am trying to always learn, and also share what I know so that others may learn or correct me, when needed.
