On Otherkin & Therian Curios, Relics & Artifacts

One topic I had been meaning to write more on is the usage of natural materials (bones, skins, stones and etc) in the otherkin and therianthropy exploration process. This is a topic I and my system have decades of experience on, having utilized natural materials in our personal explorations, our art and our magic for almost three decades now. I am, however, out of practice with writing and producing long form content, something I used to be very good at. Time and covid have left me rusty, and I'm working on changing that.

I've decided to distill this experience and knowledge in a series of posts, which I hope to flesh out more subcategories on this topic. Maybe these writings can be useful to others in their explorations. Perhaps I can provide an alternative perspective to previous writings on the topic within therian and otherkin community circles.

I also hope to offer some advice, exercises and ritual to help one in developing and cultivating psychometry as a skillset. We are fortunate in that we have this skill naturally, but like any muscle, it still requires exercie to maintain. I will talk about what worked for us, and, hopefully, it may work for others as well, perhaps. This is a skill that could be very useful and valuable to those who fit under the "alterhuman" umbrella, and I'll be exploring this concept more in my writings.

I hope I can get these concepts transmitted in a coherent manner, and I do welcome constructive and rational feedback and correspondence. In the meantime, following this blog here is probably your best bet for getting current updates on this topic. I will also be setting up a small shop, where I'll be offering some of my own wares for those seeking tools, objects or jewelry that will assist them in either signaling their identity and/or exploring it more deeply. I'm hoping, in time, this can be an important service to the community.
