Was there a point where your relationship to the character stopped being about the work and became something else? What changed, and how did you know?

I think this is talking about a fictionkin or ockin. Yes. I have always identified as a particular oc since I discovered her name. She was originally going to be an oc for the hellaverse until I realized that wasn't the right universe for her and I gave her her own universe with a mate, kids and a problem to avoid. No spoilers for her story bc I haven't finished writing the book yet.
