Hello, everyone! My name is Dev I’m a freshman in college. I’m doing a Sociology paper on subcultures, specifically Otherkin. I would like to get a better understanding of everything that is otherkin, and a better understanding of everyone apart of the community.

I would like to know, how you knew you were non-human?

What do you all believe in and what do you all value as otherkin?

Can anyone become an otherkin, or do you have to know that your ancestors were non-human?

What is the behavior of a non-human?

Does your family know about you being another being?

Can anyone tell that you are an otherkin by just looking at you?

I would love to hear your feedback, I’m open-minded to everything everyone has to say, I won’t criticize anything. I want to get as much information as I can to write an informative essay, that shines new light on otherkin. I was going to just do the research but I wanted to hear from the community, from people who are living as otherkin. Thank you so much!
