*checking current form* Pretty sure it’s me. Older, fatter, tired, forced back into Wakefulness despite lots of protestations and even trying to file a cosmic restraining order. :-p Nice to see one of the old guard still functions.
Haha, funny you put it that way, since I always thought of myself as “new guard” given how many people were around before me. I guess now I’m an old fruit, seeing as there are many adults now going around calling themselves otherkin who weren’t born when I was having such crises of “belongingness”. (I’m not sure if you and I were still in the same circles when I changed names about 15 years ago – before that I was going by Eshari)
Oh hey, I remember that name! Truth be told, I’d had this emergency operation a while back and am missing a few memories. I’ve also been terrible at remembering people from the start.
Welcome to the old guard? Your commemorative t-shirt is over there. We weren’t sure what size you wore, so we just got twelve of everything.
I’d left the Otherkin a long time ago. The circles I kept getting drawn into were caustic. One of the first dragons had warned me of it, but being naive I just couldn’t see. So when things hit that final head, I just had to walk away from everything. Find my center and learn how to make my own boundaries. That sort of things. Coming back to the community was done after a *lot* of calculation and thought – it had my divine mate quite confused as he’d never paid attention to the Otherkin before and suddenly was wondering what I was up to. Nothing much, jerkoff, just seeing if people have survived.
I have a current theory on the why of some of these new folks who have no past but are having trouble falling in sync. I’ll write about it eventually.
Whoa, is that Spearcarrier as in way back in the day, Spearcarrier? Kinships/Pentegram Comix and all that?
