SUMMARY:San Francisco Bay Otherkin Meetup (Sundays)
DESCRIPTION:PLEASE NOTE\, this meetup DOES have a physical location! The lo
 cation changes every month\, so providing a specific address didn't play w
 ell with setting it up as a recurring event. For the latest information on
  any given month's meet and instructions on how to RSVP\, see the meetup h
 ome page. To join the meetup and receive announcements of upcoming events\
 , visit the mailing list and scroll down to the section "Subscribing to sf
 bayotherkin".\n\nThe San Francisco Bay Otherkin Meetup has short meetups (
 2 to 3 hours long) once a month\, on alternating second Saturdays and seco
 nd Sundays. (Saturdays in January\, March\, May\, July\, September\, and N
 ovemeber\; Sundays in February\, April\, June\, August\, October\, and Dec
 ember.) They are held at various locations around the San Francisco Bay Ar
 ea\, moving around the bay so that everyone has a chance to have a meetup 
 nearer to them at least every few months: south bay (San Jose area)\, San 
 Francisco proper\, southeast (Fremont/Hayward area)\, southwest or peninsu
 la (Redwood City area)\, and northeast (Oakland/Berkeley area). By special
  request we may have meetups in the north bay (e.g. San Rafael) or on date
 s other than our usual ones. Once a year we host a special meetup at Panth
 eaCon on President's Day weekend.\n\nAdults 18+ only\, please. No unattend
 ed minors. Minors may only attend meets if their parent or guardian is pre
 sent.\n\nThe meetup is mostly aimed at mythic and theriomythic otherkin\, 
 e.g. elves\, faeries\, sidhe\, unicorns\, dragons\, gryphons\, nature spir
 its\, angels\, Tuatha De Danann\, gryphons\, and any other kind of mythica
 l\, magical\, fantastic\, or spiritual non-human folk. However\, therianth
 ropes are also welcome if they identify with a mythic and otherworldly "fe
 el"\, or even if they just want to talk to some otherkin now and again.\n\
 nThe focus of the group is social interaction. We are not a disciplined st
 udy/magical group. The aim is mainly to be able to chat and form connectio
 ns with people we know will understand the idea of having an other-than-hu
 man nature\, so we can feel comfortable not having to skirt the issue. Thu
 s\, discussion subjects can vary widely. Sometimes we are right on topic w
 ith past lives\, similarities and differences between kinds of 'kin\, awak
 ening\, memories\, community happenings\, magical practices\, etc.\; other
  times we wind up talking about books\, RPGs\, computer programming\, or c
 rafts.
