SUMMARY:San Francisco Bay Otherkin Meetup (Saturdays)
DESCRIPTION:PLEASE NOTE\, this meetup DOES have a physical location! The lo
 cation changes every month\, so providing a specific address didn’t play
  well with setting it up as a recurring event. For the latest information 
 on any given month’s meet and instructions on how to RSVP\, see the meet
 up home page. To join the meetup and receive announcements of upcoming eve
 nts\, visit the mailing list and scroll down to the section “Subscribing
  to sfbayotherkin“.\n\nThe San Francisco Bay Otherkin Meetup has short m
 eetups (2 to 3 hours long) once a month\, on alternating second Saturdays 
 and second Sundays. (Saturdays in January\, March\, May\, July\, September
 \, and Novemeber\; Sundays in February\, April\, June\, August\, October\,
  and December.) They are held at various locations around the San Francisc
 o Bay Area\, moving around the bay so that everyone has a chance to have a
  meetup nearer to them at least every few months: south bay (San Jose area
 )\, San Francisco proper\, southeast (Fremont/Hayward area)\, southwest or
  peninsula (Redwood City area)\, and northeast (Oakland/Berkeley area). By
  special request we may have meetups in the north bay (e.g. San Rafael) or
  on dates other than our usual ones. Once a year we host a special meetup 
 at PantheaCon on President’s Day weekend.\n\nAdults 18+ only\, please. N
 o unattended minors. Minors may only attend meets if their parent or guard
 ian is present.\n\nThe meetup is mostly aimed at mythic and theriomythic o
 therkin\, e.g. elves\, faeries\, sidhe\, unicorns\, dragons\, gryphons\, n
 ature spirits\, angels\, Tuatha De Danann\, gryphons\, and any other kind 
 of mythical\, magical\, fantastic\, or spiritual non-human folk. However\,
  therianthropes are also welcome if they identify with a mythic and otherw
 orldly “feel”\, or even if they just want to talk to some otherkin now
  and again.\n\nThe focus of the group is social interaction. We are not a 
 disciplined study/magical group. The aim is mainly to be able to chat and 
 form connections with people we know will understand the idea of having an
  other-than-human nature\, so we can feel comfortable not having to skirt 
 the issue. Thus\, discussion subjects can vary widely. Sometimes we are ri
 ght on topic with past lives\, similarities and differences between kinds 
 of ‘kin\, awakening\, memories\, community happenings\, magical practice
 s\, etc.\; other times we wind up talking about books\, RPGs\, computer pr
 ogramming\, or crafts.
