I've always had a painful longing to be somewhere else, some former place I called 'home'. How can I get "home"? Have any Otherkin gone "home"?

While some otherkin feel a longing for another world, it is preferable to make the best of this home, to make this your home, while you are here. It is unknown whether or not any Otherkin have successfully gone home, because if they did, we probably wouldn't hear about it.

Not all Otherkin have this longing, and to many, this IS their native home. Speaking to those types about the positive points of this world might help you to make the adjustments needed to be more comfortable here.

In addition, some people find it helpful when particularly 'homesick' to reach out to their former home/s (whether this is the 'home' as it exists now, or is a time-trace to how it was 'back then') and immerse themselves for a time in 'homestuff' - a brief not-quite-visit.

<<I have found it helpful to emerse myself in things that remind me of "home" such as watching movies, doing journaling about memories, and taking pictures of places that remind me of "home". Sometimes it is at this time of "homesickness" that some of my memories are best shaken lose. It alsways helps to be there, ready, with a pencil and journal. Also going into an active regression or study of you present memories to try and expand them. Doing this massive study of your memories and rooting out the source of the homesickness (like finding out WHERE you actually want to go back to. what it looked like and such.) can sometimes help get it out of your system. For me, watching the Lord of the Rings about three times and then journaling about what I remembered or what reminded me of things, really helped.<Violin Goddess>
