::Just as no one can know all of my beliefs, no one can doubt all my beliefs better than I can. If I didn't question myself and my beliefs more rigorously than I question any other person or their beliefs, I would be an utter hypocrite, and most certainly delusional. Existence is full of doubt. At the same time, my beliefs work for me... and other beliefs don't. Don't run around accusing me of being someone who doesn't know what they're talking about -- I'm already quite aware of this and you're wasting your time telling me something I already know I don't know. -- Crisses Many people have doubts that there's any truth behind claims of otherkinness...including otherkin. Many websites make fun of us, or point to us as freaks of some sort, without realizing that we're pretty confused about our feelings in the first place, often suffer our own doubts about what is going on, and often break and run back to beliefs that we are human.

One thing that gives some otherkin solace is that they feel more crazy when they believe they are human than when they believe they are not. Another is that accepting themselves as nonhuman/otherkin actually alleviates certain problems such as depression or bipolarism.
