Changed lines 1-3 from:
In a community mainly founded on esoteric and insubstantial beliefs, there is a lot of emphasis on personal faith and theoretical "proof".
One thing to keep in mind is that science has failed to prove even such simple tennants such as gravity existing. It is a rigorously tested theory, but it is still a theory. It is a theory that other theories depend on, so it's basic to science. Science depends on theories which are specifically beliefs that science has -- so far -- not been able to prove false. They seem to be true.
