Kitsune
Also known as werefoxes, Kitsune are alive and well today. Most of Kitsune fact is hidden behind a shroud of myth and mystery.
The legend of the Kitsune first originated in ancient Japan, and the tale is usually of a lovely maiden who lures a young man to fall in love with her, yet when a mirror is held up to the Kitsune's face, the illusion is broken and the maiden reverts into the true form-a magical white fox with nine tails. It is said that when the Kitsune runs through wheat fields, it brings a good harvest.
