Ki-rin

Ki-rin are purely good spirit-animals from the region of Asia, planet Earth (Gaia, Terra, Ar-kan-nay). Other kinds (with differing names) may live in other parts of this planet. Upon our immediate awakening into existence, we are aware of the inborne knowledge that we are the caretakers of the forest that we are placed in and all of its inhabitants. We protect the trees, plants, and animals of our particular assignment with our lives and all of our powers against destructive forces. We believe that powers of creation are good and powers of destruction are evil, even though both are needed for the balance of the universe.

When we choose to appear to physical creatures, our appearances may differ somewhat from ki-rin-to-ki-rin, but it always gives an accurate reflection of our true qualities. We have not the ability to use deception or any other traits that are not entirely good. I personally had the appearance of a goat-like, horse-like creature with a shaggy golden mane, clefted toes, a long tufted tail, deep-blue eyes, and a shiny alicorn upon my fore-head. We rarely appear to physical creatures though, and even more rarely to humans. As for our lifespan, it is indefinite. And the death of a Ki-rin is a grave mistake, as it endangers the well-being of the planet. Only an evil spirit can kill a Ki-rin.

Some Ki-rin are twins and can only function together just like yin and yang. The death of one Ki-rin twin will always result in the eventual death of its other twin. Ki-rin twins always stay together and share the same forest. Our powers consist mainly of powers of healing and purifying and are represented by our alicorns. They are from all of earth's medicinal powers. Also, we can change size and choose when and when not to be visible to physical creatures. We will fight and kill only evil spirits that try to harm our forest or ourselves, which could lead to the eventual harming of our forest. We also have a certain degree of power over the local weather and prefer it to be moist and warm, as such conditions benefit the vegetation of our forest. We communicate mainly telepathically.

Ki-rin are gentle, peaceful creatures with only good qualities. Our presence is always a sign of great fortune and safety to the good-hearted. My favorite saying is this: May the luck of the Ki-rin be with you.
