As I noticed, this film is about a life with a daemon that it might be the inner-self in animal form standing near you. In real a daemon is a manifestation of a person's soul. Humans in every universe are said to have daemons, although in some universes they are visible as entities physically separate from their humans, and take the form of animals, while in other universes they are not. Daemons have human intelligence, are capable of human speech - regardless of the form they take - and usually behave in all respects as though they are independent of their humans. The plot of this film: In a parallel universe, young Lyra Belacqua journeys to the far North to save her best friend and other kidnapped children from terrible experiments by a mysterious organization.
